Another strong brew for the South Woodham Ferrers beer festival. My previous honey porter Dutch Quarter Porter had honey from bees from, as you might guess, the Dutch Quarter in Colchester. This time around it’s honey from bees from Abbotts Hall Farm in Great Wigborough, who had been feeding on nearby borage. I upped the grain bill for this one, and used liquid yeast (which attenuated further down than dried yeast) and put all the honey into the brew, so it’s come out as a whopping 7.3%abv imperial porter. Cask at the aforementioned beer festival and in bottles in due course.
