With a couple of slightly further-flung beer festivals being the destination for this brew, a cask-only, three cask brew sees the return of Old Ben’s Chocolate Oatmeal Stout. These casks (commemorating my great-grandad, a Methodist minister in West Hartlepool) are off in very early April to the East Anglian CAMRA beer fest at The Apex in Bury St. Edmunds, to the South Benfleet Sport and Social Club, and to, rather closer to home, The Black Buoy in Wivenhoe. Slight tweak to the recipe and to the pump clip, as I’m a crazy kind of guy who just does that kind of thing…
