Dark and chocolate malts add colour and flavour to the mild malt which forms the bulk of the recipe, which used Wyeast 1318 London Ale III yeast.
Rich and slightly stronger than most milds, hence the ‘Wayward’ (and also due to brewing it on the day we went to see the brilliant Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band at the Apex in Bury St. Edmunds!)
Most bottles went through Two Brews on Crouch Street in Colchester. Still a couple of bottles left in the Watsons Brewery stock fridge.
