Brew 29 : Dutch Quarter Porter

A smooth porter, made with honey from the hard working bees of the Dutch Quarter, courtesy of Elizabeth Trustrum, of Dutch Quarter Industries. 4.9%abv. Popped into casks and bottles in mid-September, and being given a few weeks to let the flavours fully develop.

UPDATE : Casks were quaffed at The Victoria Inn, and The Ale House in Colchester in October. Bottles were at Two Brews (Colchester) and The Hop Beer Shop (Chelmsford) although they have flown off the shelves. Reviews on Untappd here.

The bees have buzzed off with their owner to another part of Colchester, so Dutch Quarter Porter is definitely a one-off – unless I find another urban bee keeper in The Dutch Quarter!
