A dark, velvet and hoppy black ale.

I decided that the beer wasn’t anywhere as near as good as the label design, so this bitter (it came out just a little sweet and the London Ale Yeast evidently struggled to do the business!)

Dark and chocolate malts add colour and flavour to the mild malt which forms the bulk of the recipe, which used Wyeast 1318 London Ale III yeast.

A malty, sweet Irish Red, using an Irish Ale yeast.

Previously available in bottles at Two Brews on Crouch Street in Colchester, this dark beauty is now a thing of legend.
